“Wish Away” is an ongoing collection of oil paintings. This is my most personal series, influenced by Carl Jung’s theory of the shadow self. “Wish Away” uses symbolism to express different aspects of my shadow self and subconscious desires. This series looks through the performative nature of identity and the roles we carried out in waking life.
